The last gold sparks flew and it was over. She was back to her human form forever and before she knew it, she sat in her throne beside the fun-sized king Lord Farquaad who everyone now knew as her husband. But even thought she chose it, this was not the life that she wanted because Fiona was still madly in love with Shrek.
"And you are going where?" Lord Farquaad asked,
"Oh, you know just to the markets" Fiona replied,
"Well I should expect you home soon then my dear, you know you've been going there an awful lot but you have nothing to show for it."
Fiona didn't care what he said, nor could she turn around any quicker. She wasn't headed for the markets like she said, she never was. She was off to the swamp to see Shrek and like other days, that's all she did before she arrived home.
"Hello darling, what did you buy from the markets?" Her husband asked, giving her the skeptical eyebrow raise.
Fiona got closer before she replied,
"Oh I-" She began before being cut off,
"Ugh! You absolutely reek of something disgusting! Please, do something about it right away!" He demanded before walking off.
Fiona's eyes couldn't have rolled back any further. She couldn't stand looking at Lord Farquaad let alone understand why she even married him. Was it worth all this just to put a stop the curse that had her evolving into an ugly ogre every sunset? She began to realize how selfish she was for leaving Shrek, who still loved her. But due to her love for Shrek, Fiona's lies became more and more frequent.
"I'm going back to the markets they finally have what I was looking for"
"And that is?" Lord Farquaad asked skeptically,
"You wouldn't want to know and it wouldn't matter to you anyhow"
"Darling, I'm asking aren't I?"
"Yes, but I..." She began before she was interrupted
"Ok look Lacey, let’s not beat around the bush I know that you’ve been seeing that disgusting ogre, Shrek!”
“Excuse me? I don’t know what you’re on about”
“Let’s make this clear, you are not to go anywhere you are to stay indoors! Guards!"
Without mercy the two guards immediately yanked one arm each forcing her upstairs, her ponytail whipping in the air behind her,
"NO! Let me go! Stop! STOP!"
Before she knew it, she was locked in the room which had to be the one with nothing but one window with a latch that looked impossible to release. She began pacing up and down, screaming for someone to let her out, she did not want imprisoned once again.
"Help!" She called but no one answered.
Not thinking, Fiona charged into the window, rebounding onto the floor yes she got up again and and pounded it.
“What are you doing?”
Fiona’s face turned white at the sound of Lord Farquaad’s voice,
“What are you doing keeping me up here like this?"
Without a word, Lord Farquaad pushed her to the ground and how someone so small did that to her, she could not fathom. In an instant, he tugged and her arm in an attempt to drag her.
“Let me go!” She protested, so much anger in her tone,
“Oh I gave you back your life and now you will stay with me!”
“This is not my life! I made a mistake!”
Lacey threw him off of her, sending him flying into the wall, his head bouncing twice against it as he slid down the rest of the way, yet he sprung back into life.
"Stop Fiona and things will be fine" He declared calmly whilst positioning himself into self defense mode, quickly whisking a piece of hair away from his face.
“Shrek!” Fiona cried,
“Oh you and that Shrek!” he yelled, lunging at Fiona full force, an attempt to bring her down,
“Get off me!” Fiona pleaded, trying to peel him off of her.
Fiona swung around with Lord Farquaa's small boday dangling off of her. She forced him to the window, knocking his head onto the window latch twice. His head flung back forward and then he stopped. His blank face dropped to his chest, no more movement coming from him.
"Farquaad?" She asked waiting for a reply, depserate for an answer.
As fear began to consume her, Fiona stood back in horror as she watched blood trickle from Lord Farquaad's head.
